Completing the Application Process can lead to one of the most worthwhile experiences of your life. Please know our Admissions Staff is available to help you throughout the process. Families are welcome to apply for admission at any time. However, deadlines and space availability do vary by grade, so we encourage you to complete your admissions packet as soon as possible. Application information
Students eligible for first grade must be six years old, but no more than seven years four months old on September 1 of the school year in which they will enter.
In first grade, fifty-four students are admitted each year.
Applications are accepted on a year-round basis. Families may apply for first grade at any time. First round consideration is given to those whose application is received by February 15 of the child’s Kindergarten year.

- The Application
Complete the application in full and return it to St. Andrew’s Admissions Office with the non-refundable $100 application fee. The first step is to complete the student’s Application Form and return it to the Admissions Office so that we will have your contact information.
- The Admissions Test
Each applying child must take a readiness test administered at St. Andrew's Lower School by an independent tester. The fee for the test is $100.00. Assigned testing times are sent to all applicants the January prior to the fall in which the student wishes to be admitted. Testing is in February.
- Teacher Recommendation
With the assigned testing letter, a form is sent to the applicant’s parents, asking them to authorize the release of a recommendation from the applicant's current kindergarten teacher. The actual recommendation form is sent directly from St. Andrew's to the teacher for completion.
- The Interview
Parents of applicants for first grade are required to make an appointment for an interview with the Director of Admissions or the Lower School Head. Parents are also invited to visit the school and take a tour. Tours are offered at the Open Houses or by appointment.

Students are admitted on a space available basis. First round consideration deadline is March 1. However, St. Andrew’s accepts applications year round on a rolling admission basis.

GRADES 2-4: Applicants for grades two through four must take an admissions test administered at St. Andrew's Lower School. Families who have applied are notified of the testing date, which is typically in March prior to the fall the student wishes to attend. A testing fee of $45.00 is charged.
GRADE 5: Applicants for grade five are required to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). Forms to register for this test may be requested from the St. Andrew’s Admissions Office (you must register DIRECTLY with ISEE) or you may register online at www.iseetest.org. GRADES 2-4: One recommendation is required for each applicant and must come from the current homeroom teacher. The recommendation form may be mailed to the applicant if requested or you may print it below..

Please fill out and sign the enclosed transcript release form and return it to your current school. Your child’s current school will return it to our Admissions Office.

Applicants and their parents are required to make an appointment for a visit and an interview with the Director of Admissions or a member of the Admissions Team. - Financial Aid
If you are requesting financial aid, please call the Business Office, 512-299-9805, to receive a copy of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid Form. Financial Aid applications are due February 15.
