Head of School

LUCY C. NAZRO, HEAD OF SCHOOL
St. Andrew's Episcopal School has been my home and family since 1980. During my time here I have seen our school grow from a small 1-6 grade school to a nationally renowned 1-12 independent school - the largest Episcopal school of our kind in Central Texas!

Upper School Head

RICHARD MISCHINSKI, HEAD OF UPPER SCHOOL
Education:
Bucknell University - BA
Stanford University - MA
What might people be surprised to know about you? In what little free time I have, I make Stickley furniture for our home. My wife and I are big fans of the style.
What attracted you to St. Andrew's?
It was clear to me this school is unlike any other I have encountered. Beyond the School's mission as a rigorous college prep. program, St. Andrew's nurtures then expects spiritual partnerships within this thriving educational community. The commitment to this program by faculty, students, and families is the centerpiece of the school culture and distinguishes St. Andrew's in the private school world.
Middle School Head

ALICE NEZZER, HEAD OF MIDDLE SCHOOL
Education:
Sewanee: University of the South - BA
University of Texas at Austin - MA
What are your favorite pastimes?
I love cheering at Longhorn Football games, reading a good book, relaxing on the beach, and eating good Mexican food.
What person has had the most influence on you and why?
My mother, Lucy Nazro, has been a role model for me in many ways - both personally and professionally. I look up to her, figuratively, and the way she exemplifies a servant-leader at school. She had a similar attitude as a mother - she went to camp with us, she and dad drove us all over the country on fun summer road trips, and she stayed up late helping us with essays and research papers. I am blessed to be able to work with her at St. Andrew's.
Lower School Head

SHARON WILSON, HEAD OF LOWER SCHOOL
Education:
University of Texas at Austin - BS
University of Texas at Austin - MS
University of Texas at Austin - PhD
Where did you grow up?
I grew up as an Army brat and we traveled widely both in the States and abroad.
What is your teaching philosophy?
My goal is help all our youngsters strive to reach their full potential during the time we are privileged to have them in the lower school. Although this endeavor requires a lot of hard work on the part of the child, parents, and teachers, working in partnership increases the likelihood that this journey will also be a joyful experience. Students who feel strongly connected to the school community are better positioned to succeed.
