Musical Director Michael Rosensteel, Technical Director Scott Schumann, and Director Rick Garcia began preparing for the production last April, and Rick recalls, “From the initial discussions, we knew it was a very special vision we were creating. We compromised little, if any, of the vision and had a lot of help from families and loyal volunteers to bring it all to fruition.” Reflecting on the recent nomination announcement, Rick says, “I am proud of the entire company of student actors and crew and design team, and we are grateful to be recognized by the GAHSMTA.”

This year 27 participating area high schools vied for a coveted GAHSMTA nomination. The winners will be announced in a Tony Awards-style ceremony on April 14 at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets for the ceremony will go on sale April 1.
