McCrary Announces Increased Social Media Presence, Staff Additions For 2016-17 School Year

"I am really excited about all of the new staff hires and improvements that we have made in our athletic program from the top down. We are thrilled to welcome Josh Blumenthal and Jody Fillpot as Assistant Athletic Directors.

 

Josh's primary responsibility will be athletic communication for grades 5 through 12, and he will also have a lot of day-to-day duties relating to the Upper School program. He has already made a terrific impact in our social media presence, as well as our website (click here to see just some of his great work: US Athletics Homepage).

 

When I was the Middle School Athletic Director, I worked closely with Jody when she was at St. Gabriel's. She is a talented, positive, and hard-working woman. I am so happy that we were able to bring her into the St. Andrew's family as well, and I'm excited about the work that she and Molly Blackman will do together.

 

Additionally, we've hired a lot of talented Varsity Head Coaches and other members of our coaching staff. Not only are their backgrounds as coaches impressive, but they are terrific people. I look forward to watching them develop our young men and women, not just athletically, but as mentors in our student-athletes' development into young adults.

 

We have also partnered this year with Neptune GameTime to create our own St. Andrew's radio station at athletic events and more. By doing so, we'll be able to make sure that all music played at our athletic events are family-friendly, and it will bring a more professional feel to our contests.
