KK McCaslin Appointed Girls Lacrosse Bench Boss

St. Andrew’s School is proud to announce the hiring of KK McCaslin to the position of Head Varsity Girls Lacrosse Coach.

McCaslin comes to SAS following a two-year stint with the Vandergrift High School lacrosse program, serving as assistant varsity, and junior varsity coach, along with time spent as middle school bench boss.
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to lead the St. Andrew’s Girls Lacrosse program.” McCaslin explained. “It has always been my goal to grow the game, and I look forward to doing that at St. Andrew’s. I can't wait to meet the girls and get our season going. Go Crusaders!"

A native of Portland, OR, she attended Wilson High School, where she was a four-year varsity letter winner, including garnering First Team All-State honors. In her final campaign the Trojans advanced to the state championship contest. McCaslin also suited up for the Oregon Elite, Rhino Rose, and LaxNW Rippers lacrosse clubs.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Redlands with a psychology degree, she starred for a Bulldogs lacrosse program that included four-consecutive NCAA Post-Season Championships, a Sweet 16 appearance, and three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) conference titles.

A team captain for her senior year, McCaslin was awarded the University of Redlands Scholar-Athlete Award from 2012 to 2014 and received First Team All-Conference honors during the same period. Her squad compiled a combined record of 58-17 (773%) over the course of her time in a Bulldog uniform.

Inclusive of her work in the high school ranks, she is entering her seventh year of coaching the sport following stints with the Lacrosse NW Rippers club team, Vipers youth program, and Texas Play Hard.

Following her time in California she moved south to attend, and recently obtained, a Master of Public Health-Epidemiology from the University of Texas at Austin.

Joining McCaslin will be Anna McQuaid, who also serves as the Crusaders Head Field Hockey Coach.

Rounding out the staff, and serving as junior varsity head coach is Katy Beightol. Originally from Illinois, she played her four-year high school career at Barrington High School where she was an All-Conference selection during her final two seasons. Beightol continued lacrosse on the collegiate level at the University of Iowa while also coaching summer camps.

“We are beyond excited to welcome someone with Coach McCaslin’s background, knowledge, and vision to our entire program,” said Athletic Director Jeff McCrary. “Those traits, coupled with the addition of Coaches McQuaid and Beightol on the sidelines, sets up what promises to be a very exciting season.”
