Students normally enroll in six academic courses each year (Humanities-2, Mathematics, Science, Modern or Classical Language, Fine Arts) and athletics. A student who wishes to take a different load must have the approval of the faculty and/or the Head of the Upper School. These minimum departmental credits for graduation must be earned in grades 9-12. Please visit the

2 seasons in grades 9 and 10, at least one of which must be on a St. Andrew's team, plus 1 season in grades 11 and 12; being a Manager of a team requires the approval of the Director of Athletics. It counts as a sports credit, but it does not result in a Letter in that sport or in counting towards graduating with Distinction as an Athlete.

Additional Policies:
- Advanced Placement Course Load - A student may not enroll in more than three (3) AP Courses during the school year, with the exception that AP Studio Art which may be scheduled as a fourth (4th) AP Course
- Doubling up in a Discipline - Two Language, Two Math, Two Science, Two Fine Art: You may schedule this at a Parent/Advisee conference but approval of doubling up is subject to departmental approval.
