Kindergarten

Brain research confirms that children learn best by doing, engaging, and participating. At St. Andrew's kindergarten, this is the foundation for the learning our students do every day.

Space to Grow

St. Andrew’s kindergarten provides a dynamic environment for children to explore, learn, and thrive.
Eleanor Hall, our 5,000-square-foot Kindergarten Center, allows children to flourish and discover like never before. The striking building and associated outdoor space bring the outside in, opening up doors for exploration, kinesthetic learning, and small group collaboration. At any one time, several small groups of children can be working on a variety of activities: cooking, artwork, literacy and math centers, music, or outdoor play. The open atrium allows for larger group gatherings including morning meetings and special performances. Our Kindergarten Center is where makers, leaders, inventors, thinkers, collaborators, and lifelong learners are made.

Meeting Your Child Where They Are

Every day at St. Andrew’s kindergarten is different, full of knowledge, creativity, and curiosity just waiting to be discovered.
From designing and running their own restaurant to writing letters to pen pals abroad, our educators create fun and energetic learning opportunities for our students. Children are excited to go to school each day, working with teachers that meet them where they are. We do everything we can to meet the needs of our young learners and establish a foundation of both strong cognitive skills as well as social and emotional wellbeing. With an encouraging group behind them, children are ready and willing to take risks, try new things, and take control of their own learning.

Developing the Whole Child

We’re honored to be one of the first stepping stones on your child’s learning journey.
After your child’s year in kindergarten at St. Andrew’s, they will have learned skills in math and literacy competency, independent thinking and problem solving, self-care and self-advocacy, and confidence -- all in an environment that nurtures and challenges them every step of the way. Every area of learning is covered in kindergarten -- from dramatic play, art, music, daily P.E., foreign language, reading, writing, science, and much more. With our diverse and comprehensive curriculum, we open doors for our students at a young age, allowing them voice and choice in learning to discover who they want to be. Our kindergarten classrooms buzz with young architects, chefs, doctors, writers, broadcasters, engineers, gardeners, and so much more.
