Admissions Events

St. Andrew's hosts a number of Admissions Events, primarily in the fall and winter, and we welcome the opportunity to visit with you.  There are a variety of opportunities to see the campus, hear from parents and teachers, and meet other prospective families who are exploring a St. Andrew's education.

  • Weekly Small Group Tours

    Small group tours offer parents an opportunity to see classes in action, learn about our educational philosophy, Episcopal identity, Social Emotional Learning program, curriculum, athletics program, arts, and much more!

    Kindergarten Walkabout & Information Session
    Eleanor Hall, 31st Street Campus
    Friday, October 4
    Tuesday, November 12
    Friday, January 10

    The program runs from 8:45am to 10:30am. Parents will begin with a Walkabout in the Kindergarten building to observe teachers and students. Guided by faculty and staff, this Walkabout includes an overview of the daily schedule, literacy and math skills, project-based learning, Episcopal identity, technology, foreign language and more. Following the tour, parents will hear from Scott Zimmerman, Social Emotional Learning Director, and Kama Bruce, our Lower School Head. Q&A follows Mr. Bruce's presentation. 

    Parents must RSVP for the Walkabout for one of the following start times:  8:45am; 9:00am; 9:15am; 9:30am. Space is limited to 10 adults per time slot. Please contact Kapie Breed at; or call 512-299-9846 to reserve your time today. We look forward to meeting you!

    Chapel Times
    Kinder, 1st, and 2nd attend Chapel together from 10:10am to 10:35am
    3rd, 4th, and 5th attend Chapel together from 9:10am to 9:35am

    You are invited to join us and experience one of our daily chapel services and meet our Chaplain, Ashley Brandon. Prior to visiting chapel, please contact Kapie Breed to RSVP

  • Shadow Visits

    Students applying to kindergarten or first grade will have a special Saturday visit on either January 25 or February 8. Specific days and time for these visits will be shared in early January.

    Students applying to second, third, fourth, or fifth grades are required to do a Shadow Visit, scheduled from November to February 1, the application deadline. This visit is a chance for your child to participate and experience a typical day at St. Andrew's. As a first step, please complete the online application.

    Parents Visit Upper School Classes

    Our doors will be open for you to see St. Andrew's in action. Parents will be given a schedule and a map to go back to high school. Come for an hour or stay for the day, depending on your availability.  

    Coffee and Conversation with Upper School Head

    Prospective parents are invited to meet with Head of Upper School Dr. Todd Stephenson to hear about current St. Andrew's initiatives as well as future plans.  

  • Shadow Visits

    We encourage applicants to visit classes with a current Upper School student to get a good feel of campus life and our community. Shadow visits are offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning in October and include visits to two classes, chapel, and lunch. A member of the admissions team will interview students at the end of their shadow day.  To schedule a Shadow Visit, please follow the link available in the online checklist "Student Shadow Visit" tab.  Please note that parent interviews are scheduled on a separate day, but can also be scheduled through the online checklist.

  • Tours

    In addition to the variety of admission events offered, parents may schedule a tour with an admissions staff member.  Families visiting from out of town are welcome to contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.
