Jeff has been a fixture at SAS for over twenty years, where he has served a number of roles including student, faculty member, coach, and athletic administrator.
While at UT, he served as student manager to the NCAA Final Four participant men's basketball team.
In addition to his work overseeing the department, Jeff has found success as Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach, presently heading into his 10th year. In 2012, St. Andrew’s took 4th place in the SPC Division I Tournament, which was the best finish in school history. The following year, he led the Crusaders to a Division II Championship.
McCrary also serves at the President of the SPC Athletic Directors.
He is married to the former Melissa Barrett, and they have two sons together (Houston and Barrett).

Taylor Stewart joined the SAS community in 2010 as Head Strength & Conditioning Coach after working for seven years at nearby St. Stephen's Episcopal School.
With the title of Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at St. Andrew’s he trains all of the school’s student-athletes in a number of capacities, most notably through an intensive off-season program.
Stewart also holds the title of Head Varsity Football Coach for the Austin Saints.
He and his wife, Amanda, have five children, daughters Sienna and Sloane, and their sons Jaxon, Mads, and Sidney.

Biography Kayla earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and her Master of Science in Athletic Training.
She was able to join the SAS community in 2014 as a part-time Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer through Texas State University. While a Graduate Assistant, she primarily worked with SAS middle school athletics.
Vaught enjoys spending time with her husband Juan, and their two dogs. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and the Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association.

Tom joined the SAS community in 1982 during his senior year at UT. He coached the first basketball team and joined the staff as a teacher in 1983. Along with Betsy Ross, Tom founded the MS athletic program that first year and added the LS program in 1991. He served as Co-Athletic Director along with Maria Brummer as well as department chair of the Physical Education program.
Tom has coached flag football, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls track and field, co-ed soccer and boys and girls golf. He has had the privilege of working with 2 Major League Pitchers and 1 NFL quarterback.
He’s been at the school long enough to teach more than 55 students whom are offspring of former students.
Tom’s is married to his wife Linnea and has 3 grown adults (Wayne, Kayla and Gayle) that went to SAS and enjoy spending time with their 3 grandchildren (Josiah, Augustine and Calvin) whenever possible.
Education University of Hawaii - BS Texas A&M University - MS
Maria Brummer has worked at St. Andrew's School since 1992, having served as K-8 PE Teacher, Athletic Director, along with coaching multiple teams.
Prior to her time at SAS, she taught at La Pietra, Hawaii School for Girls for two years, teaching 6-12th grade Health and PE, coaching Varsity Volleyball, and MS Basketball.
During her undergraduate time at the University of Hawaii, she served as the student manager to the NCAA Championship ('82, '83, '87) Women's Volleyball Team. She has one son, Drew Brummer, a lifer at SAS, who graduated in 2016.
Jack joined the St. Andrew’s community in 2004 as a student. While at St. Andrew’s, he participated in cross country, basketball, and track & field. He is a member of the first SPC Championship-winning cross country team, and holds school records in the 4x200 and 4x400 meter relays.
After graduating from St. Andrew’s, and from 2014-2016, served as an SAS varsity assistant for the upper school track & field team, specializing in sprints and relays. In 2016, Jack graduated from St. Edward’s University with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Jack began his teaching career at Hyde Park Schools, where he taught K-8 Physical Education, served as a 7th grade boys’ advisor, and coach.
Jack is currently in pursuit of a master’s degree in coaching & athletic administration from Concordia University (Irvine).
Education University of Massachusetts-Amherst - BS
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Beth Anne Shelman previously served as a head varsity coach and teacher at the King School of Connecticut. She also spent time in a similar capacity as a field hockey coach at nearby Wilton High School.
The Westport, CT native joins SAS after most recently working within the corporate world in Austin and serves as a K-8 Physical Education teacher.
She also serves as the Varsity Field Hockey Coach/Program Coordinator for the Highlanders.

Josh joined the SAS community in 2016 after spending the past eight seasons as an NCAA lacrosse coach in the northeast, coaching at Adelphi University, Babson College, and Regis College.
During his time as bench-boss at Regis, he led the Pride to back-to-back winning seasons in 2014 and 2015 and won a school-record nine games, an ECAC Tournament berth, and named 2013 NECC Coach of the Year. In addition he was a member of the school's faculty, teaching two sports marketing courses.
He also spent four years as the head coach/sports information director at the Palmer Trinity School in Miami, selected as Miami-Dade County Coach of the Year in 2006, and Florida Babcock Sportsmanship Trophy.
As head coach of the varsity lacrosse team, he has seen a quick turnaround from 6-11 to an 11-9 mark including the best-ever finishes in both the SPC and THSLL Conference standings.
He presently resides in Austin with his wife and two children.

Kristen joined the SAS community in 2018 as an Associate Athletic Director and Fitness/Wellness Coordinator. She is going to be helping to develop the Physical Education program as well as a comprehensive wellness program at SAS.
Prior to SAS, she was the Middle School Athletic Director and Fitness/Wellness Department Chair at The Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles, CA for 11 years. At Archer she also coached Varsity Basketball, Softball, and Volleyball as well as served as an academic dean for several years.
Benjamin played basketball for four years at Trinity University in San Antonio, TX and is going to be working with the SAS Basketball program.
Benjamin recently moved to Austin with her wife and two sons, Greyson and Knox.

Jody is an Associate Athletic Director after previously serving as Athletic Director at St. Gabriel's for 14 years.
Fillpot, who played volleyball and softball for St. Edward's University, is a member of the school's Athletic Hall of Honor.
Upon graduation she went on to serve as the head softball coach for her alma mater, leading them to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) World Series, along with a national ranking for her squad.

Abby has been serving as the Athletic Trainer for St. Andrew’s Episcopal School for two decades. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training.
She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association and is certified in First Aid/CPR through the American Heart Association.
In her spare time, Elliott enjoys taking in the sights and sounds of Austin. She also enjoys listening to live music, spending time with her family, and following the Jayhawks in all sports.

Betsy graduated from Texas Tech University in 1976 with a BS in Education and received a Physical Education Certification from the University of Texas in 1980.
Betsy teaches third through eighth grade Physical Education and coaches Volleyball and Softball.
She joined St. Andrew’s in 1980 and in 1982 she and Tom Costas founded the Athletics program. Her volleyball teams have won numerous AIPL Championships during her tenure here.
Betsy lives in Pflugerville, and has two grown sons who also attended St. Andrew’s.

Jennifer has joined the SAS community in 2018 as a Strength & Conditioning Coach and Fitness Instructor. Additionally, Jennifer is the Head Varsity Girls Soccer Coach, and will serve as the girls’ soccer program coordinator for grades 5 through 12. Prior to joining the SAS community, she taught at Marymount High School, Los Angeles for the past 10 years, and served as the Head Physical Education Teacher and Strength & Conditioning Coach. The New York native, won a high school state soccer championship, where she is a member of the hall of fame. Following her secondary school career, she moved onto NCAA Division I level as a member of the University at Albany women’s soccer program. Jennifer graduated from Hofstra University, NY with a Masters of Science in Physical Education and received her NYS teaching certification in physical education for grades K-12.
Quinn began his professional career in Seattle, Washington in outside sales after graduating from Purdue University. While in Seattle, he coached girls select basketball which fueled his desire to become a teacher and work with kids. After moving to Austin in 2010, he received his certification in physical education (EC-12) and was hired by Cathedral School of Saint Mary in downtown Austin. Quinn served as the athletic director, physical education teacher, health teacher, head coach for all sports, and technology coordinator. He helped resurrect a once proud athletics program by utilizing physical education class as a training ground to teach fundamentals for all sports which sparked widespread interest among students. During his eight years at Cathedral School, Quinn led his volleyball, flag football, basketball, and soccer teams to 15 league championships. In addition, he became a board member of the Austin Private School Association (APSA), and was directly involved in its inception and growth. In 2015, Quinn was voted in as APSA President, a role he proudly held until his arrival at St. Andrew’s in the summer of 2019.
Quinn and his wife, Alissa, have two children, Vera and Luca.
