St. Andrew's Model UN team headed to San Antonio earlier this month to participate in Model UN San Antonio hosted at Trinity University. There were close to 1,000 delegates from all over Texas and surrounding states, plus delegations from Mexico and Japan.
The entire team represented the Islamic Republic of Iran which provided an interesting position in several of the committees. Delegates debated topics than ranged from dismantling forced labor on plantations chains in Latin America to discussing the impacts of economic sanctions as a penalty toward developing nations.
St. Andrew's received Best Small Delegation, one of the top awards of the conference.
