4 Seniors Honored at Austin Regional Science Fair

Last Friday, fifteen St. Andrews students headed to the Palmer Events Center to participate in the Austin Regional Science Fair—one of the largest science fairs in the country. Four St. Andrew's seniors were recognized for their research.
Two students placed in their categories: Quinn McClanahan ‘19 placed third in Plant Sciences, and will be moving on to the State of Texas fair in March. Dorothy Thompson ‘19 placed fourth in Earth/Environmental Sciences and Engineering.

Two students received recognition from an outside organization: Liam Santa Cruz ‘19 was recognized by Earth and Biochemical Sciences and Claudia Whittlesey ‘19 was recognized by Women in Geosciences.

Upper School science teacher Bryan Dunn remarked, “It was a great day for our St. Andrew’s scientists!”
