BETH ANNE SHELMAN TO LEAD VARSITY FIELD HOCKEY

St. Andrew’s Episcopal School Director of Athletics & Physical Education Jeff McCrary announced the hiring of Beth Anne Shelman as the Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach. Additionally, she will serve as a full time K-8 Physical Education Teacher.
The University of Massachusetts-Amherst graduate has previously served as a head varsity coach and teacher at the King School of Connecticut. She also spent time in a similar capacity as a field hockey coach at nearby Wilton High School.

“We are extremely pleased to bring on an experienced high-level coach like Beth Anne for both the physical education and field hockey programs,” said McCrary. “Her work at both the independent school JV and Varsity levels will help move our program forward from bottom-to-top.”

The Westport, CT native joins SAS after most recently working within the corporate world in Austin.

“I could not be more excited to be a part of the Highlander family,” Shelman explained. “I am very much looking forward to bringing my background and field hockey coaching experience from the north east down south. I have high expectations for this upcoming season and am ready to bring the field hockey program to the next level.”
