Jody Fillpot Returns To Softball Diamond

St. Andrew’s School is excited to announce the hiring of Jody Fillpot to the positions of Head Varsity Softball Coach.

Fillpot will retain her position as Associate Athletic Director for middle school athletics.
The former softball coach at St. Edward's University, Fillpot will return to the diamond after a 14-year hiatus in which she served as Director of Athletics at nearby St. Gabriel's School.

After serving as a dual-sport collegiate athlete for the Hilltoppers in both volleyball and softball, the now hall of fame member, began coaching the latter squad.

While head skipper of her alma mater, Fillpot would guide her program to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) World Series along with a national ranking for her squad.

As a result, the San Angelo native received Conference and Regional Coach of the Year honors.

On her appointment as head coach, Fillpot shared, "I am so thankful for the opportunity to coach at the varsity level SAS and return to the sport I love so dearly. I hope the players are as excited to get the season started as I am, and I can't wait to begin building on the recent success.

“Having a coach of Jody Fillpot's history lead our program is nothing short of truly amazing, and I am so pleased she has accepted the additional role at St. Andrew's,” said Director of Athletics Jeff McCrary. “Her impressive athletic pedigree, both as a player and coach, along with her experience as an Athletic Director will undoubtedly prove to be invaluable tools as we continue to grow our softball program.”
