St. Andrew's Students Serving The Environment

One of our themes at St. Andrew's this year is “stewardship,” and as a result, our community has doubled down on our stewardship of the environment.
One of our themes this year is “stewardship,” and as a result, our community has doubled down on our stewardship of the environment. We compost almost everything we use during lunch service, including paper plates, napkins, and food scraps. Any plasticware goes to the recycling bin. Teachers have also assigned 3-4 compost captains for each grade level, whose job it is to collect the silverware from plates and trays so that only compost is left. Our compost captains help minimize errors in the system and ensure that St. Andrew’s is the most sustainable it can be.

Thank you to our St. Andrew’s community for always thinking about how we can act as servants to our environment -- every action we take towards sustainability counts, no matter how small.
