Upper School Latin Students Earn Awards in National Exam

In December sixteen Upper school Latin students opted to take to the National Classical Etymology Exam contest which tests students about Latin & Greek root words and their English derivative words. As this contest is sponsored by the National Junior Classical League, these students joined students from across the country in taking this exam.  Awards are based on how a student’s score compared to other students in their same grade and level of Latin nationwide.
Students in each level can be awarded gold, silver, or bronze medals for outstanding results. Out of the sixteen Upper School students who took the exam, eight students were recognized with a medal for their achievement. Optime factum, discipuli!
