Nominate Alumni Essential Workers for St. Andrew's Day Volunteer Award
Dear St. Andrew’s Alumni and Graduate Parents,
It is hard to believe that it is already the end of October, and that the holiday season is almost upon us. As we look ahead to the holidays, the time has come to start thinking about St. Andrew’s Day. This day traditionally brings our K-12 community together to worship, enjoy a meal together, and participate in an act of service. While this year will look a little different, our celebration and love of our patron saint remains the same, and we look forward to our St. Andrew’s “Week of Thanksgiving”, culminating with a virtual service for the St. Andrew’s Community.
St. Andrew’s Day awards will still happen, but a little differently than in normal years. With all that our nation has endured with the spread of COVID-19, we owe so much to our healthcare workers, first responders, and all other essential workers. This year’s Volunteer Award will be dedicated to all nominated members of our community who have been hard at work to keep us safe and healthy during the pandemic.
If you know an alum, parent, grandparent who fits this description, please nominate them through this form here! Nominations are due Monday, November 16, and nominees will be celebrated during our St. Andrew’s Day Virtual Service.
As part of our "Week of Thanksgiving" and modified celebration of St. Andrew's Day, during the week of November 16, the St. Andrew’s school community will be participating in individual acts of service. We welcome all who have ever called St. Andrew’s home to participate...send in your photos of your service activities to alumni@sasaustin.org.
