MARLEE GABALDON TABBED AS NEW HEAD SOFTBALL COACH

St. Andrew’s School is excited to announce the hiring of Marlee Gabaldon to the positions of Head Varsity Softball Coach.
Gabaldon is a former NCAA Division I athlete at the University of Texas-Austin. While a four-year member of the Longhorns softball team, she helped lead her squad to a third place finish at the 2013 Women’s College World Series. In addition to her on-field accolades, she was successful in the classroom as well, being named to both the Big 12 Commissioner’s and University of Texas Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

On her appointment as head coach, Gabaldon says, "I am so thankful for the opportunity to coach at SAS. I hope the players are as excited to get the season started as I am and I can't wait to get started in a few short weeks.

An applied learning and development degree recipient with a minor in social work, Gabaldon has coached at the Texas softball camps along with volunteering her time and knowledge during the Special Olympics games.

“We are excited to welcome Marlee Gabaldon to the St. Andrew’s family,” said Director of Athletics Jeff McCrary. “Her impressive athletic pedigree, coupled with her coaching work in the softball community will be invaluable tools as we continue to grow our softball program.”
