NXP Smarter World Tour Makes Exclusive SAS Visit

Over 180 demos of the latest tech advancements were at our students’ fingertips when the NXP Smarter World Tour bus made its only local school stop at St. Andrew's Upper School campus on February 15. William McKinnerney ‘17 says, “I really enjoyed seeing some of the more practical applications, whether it was for autonomous driving or monitoring a home's septic and power systems.”
Regardless of their tech-savviness, almost every student passed through the bus to explore the tech of tomorrow. While some tools were completely new to the Upper Schoolers, William notes, “Some of them were quite similar to what we use in the mLAB. Sure, the software might be a lot more complex, but a lot of the smaller-scale hardware is similar to some of the stuff we work with in the mLAB.” The NXP visit may be the extra inspiration our seniors need as they prepare for their Senior Projects this spring!
