Drawings, paintings, photographs, and mixed media art by our talented Middle School artists were honored at the 2018 Scholastic Art Awards this month. Seventh-graders Millie Barnstone and Nadia Hsu won Gold Key awards for their art, and Nadia’s painting “In the Moment” was selected as an American Visions nominee, which means it is eligible for a national award.
The Travis County art region received over 2,000 submissions that were adjudicated by a panel of creative professionals. Middle School Art teacher Kate Torres says, “We are so proud of our winners!”
