SAS Athletics Live Stream Network Announced
Austin, TX--St. Andrew’s Episcopal School has signed a contract with Stretch Internet for free streaming of live video, stats and audio (when available) for select home athletics events in 2018-19.
Stretch Internet has become the industry leader in providing dedicated streaming solutions to college and university athletic departments, collegiate conferences, high schools and professional teams and organizations. Stretch provides real-time access to listener and viewer stats as well as mobile streaming to fans with a number of streaming devices. Some of these include iPad, iPhone, Android, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, Android T and the Roku app.
Through this partnership, the Athletics Department is pleased to announce the creation of the SAS Athletics Live Streaming Network, becoming the 21st high school/district in the Stretch Internet client portfolio to do so.
For 2018-19, the SAS Athletics Network will showcase a number of Upper School home contests as part of a ‘Game of the Week’ package, with the possibility for additional content.
“Given the high viewership numbers we have seen for our football broadcasts over the past few years, we feel the excitement of our entire athletic family should also be showcased,” Director of Athletics & Physical Education Jeff McCrary said. “We were most impressed with the Stretch Internet product and partner schools, and are excited to add this extra level of accessibility to our school community and fans.”
Using the professionally-designed, intuitive interface, fans can easily view a school-wide schedule of live, upcoming and on-demand broadcasts, or filter by a specific sport. As part of the partnership, games will be displayed in high-definition on a custom St. Andrew’s Episcopal School viewing page. The ability to integrate enhanced live stats, along with viewing on social media platforms will also be looked at following the launch of the network this August.
