St. Andrew's is proud to host its Science Research Symposium on Wednesday, January 30, at the Dell Fine Arts Center. The open session runs from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and features:

Research Presentations - Upper School students in the "Scientific Research & Design" class—a dual enrollment class with UT-Austin—will present their original research. These projects will go on to Austin’s Regional Science Fair, an affiliate of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair.

1st Grade's "Waves, Light & Sound" - First-graders will have their original stained glass art pieces on display, reflecting their own scientific studies on waves, light, and sound.

Periodic Table Tile Design Winner - St. Andrew's joins a select group of schools from around the world to design a new periodic table art mural for the University of Waterloo in Canada. The winning St. Andrew's student's design (for element Oganesson) will be revealed at the Symposium.

What's That?! Contest - Have you ever wondered: What’s that?!  Use your science knowledge to identify what is going on in five displayed images. The person who correctly identifies all five will win a gift basket from Raising Cane’s.

I Wonder Wall - In the spirit of this year’s theme, “Wonder. Discover. Science.” you're invited to contribute something you've wondered to the I Wonder Wall. These ideas will help inspire future independent research topics for our students to consider.
