Crusader Football Takes Regents, 41-14!

St. Andrew’s had a big 41-14 win over Regents on Friday, Sept. 11. The Crusaders were led by a strong rushing attack and big plays through the air. Cole Baker (’16) rushed for 254 yards on 32 carries and Evan Marshman (’17) had 2 touchdown passes and rushed for another score.

The Crusaders were able to open up a 28-7 halftime lead behind a balanced attack. Marshman opened the scoring with a 2 yard touchdown run. He followed that up with a 13 yard touchdown pass to Blais Herman (’16). Baker found the end zone with under 2 minutes left in the half, and a big three and out by the defense gave St. Andrew’s another opportunity just before halftime. Henry Allen ('16) caught a 41 yard touchdown pass from Marshman with 19 seconds left in the half, and the PAT by Peter Dyson (’16) made it 28-7.

The defense stood up in the second half recording 2 more turnovers and holding Regents to just 14 total points. Alex Briggs (’18) had four big pass break ups to help preserve the win. The Crusaders played great team defense led by Baker, Adam Myers (’16) and Max Cummins (’17) each recording 5 solo tackles. Keaton Drummer (’16) added a sack to keep Regents at bay.
