Chris graduated from Cayuga High School in Bethel, Texas in 1991 where he lettered in football, basketball and track. He served as a team captain for all three sports his senior year. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas in 1997. He started his teaching and coaching career at Pflugerville Middle School in 1998. He went on to St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in 2000 and currently teaches Lower and Middle School Physical Education and serves as a seventh grade boys’ advisor. He started as boys’ lower and middle school basketball coach, moved on to boys’ JV2 basketball, to JV 1, then to Varsity assistant. He also has coached flag and tackle football at the lower and middle school, as well as track and field at all levels at St. Andrew’s. He is a member of Texas Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (TAHPERD), Texas High School Coaches and Association (THSCA), and Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC). He has worked numerous summer basketball camps at The University of Texas and Point Guard College (PGC). Off the court or field, Chris has a passion for health and fitness. He plays in local beach volleyball tournaments, flag football, adult basketball and bocce leagues.
