The girls soccer program has enjoyed a resurgence in numbers over the past couple of seasons.
The program starts in Middle School, where there is a team comprised of 6th-8th graders. That team plays mostly local competition, with occasional travel to Dallas, Ft. Worth, or Houston to play SPC middle school teams. The middle school team plays 10-12 times per season and home games are played on the Upper School campus.
At the Upper School level, there is both a Varsity and Junior Varsity team. The Varsity team plays in the South Zone of the Southwest Preparatory Conference (SPC). The South Zone includes Austin and Houston schools. The varsity team typically plays 20 games per season that run during the winter months. We play a number of non-conference games against schools from San Antonio and the Austin area.
Our program strives to empower each athlete to reach their full potential and develop a lifelong love for fitness and wellness through their soccer experience. We embrace a competitive atmosphere on and off the field and this is always done in a fun and positive environment. Through all of this the program teaches good sportsmanship, camaraderie, perseverance, leadership, self-confidence and commitment.
Several players from our girls’ soccer program have gone on to play collegiately, including the University of Texas and Vanderbilt University.
