  • Triple Threat Fantasy Game Camp: Pokemon, Magic the Gathering, and Dungeons + Dragons (Grades 4-8)

    Time: 1:00 pm-3:00 pm
    Price: $250
    Location: Online through Zoom
Teacher: St. Andrew’s Alum, David McDonald

Welcome to Triple Threat Fantasy Camp: Video Edition! This camp is world of strategy and intrigue where campers use cards, dice, tokens, a couple of free and easy to use online programs to explore and battle in magical realms via video conferencing! With offerings of Magic the Gathering, Pokemon Trading Card Game, and Dungeons & Dragons tabletop game, we aim to beat the heat, make new friends, and have fun. Campers will build imagination, creative problem solving, team work and sportsmanship while playing in teams, tournaments, and more.

Campers will need access to a computer and steady internet connection. Each day we will meet up on Zoom at 1:00 pm for a quick all group check in, then break into three smaller groups (one counselor in each group) to game the afternoon away until 3:00 pm. Campers will need their own decks for Magic the Gathering and Pokemon if they are interested in playing either other those games. They won't need to purchase any supplies for Dungeons and Dragons.
Lets gather online, safely, and with no commute!

We expect this camp to translate extremely well to the video format since these games already look much like an online school meeting, eg (one person talking at a time, everyone using their brains and imagination to problem solve/vanquish their enemies). This course will have an eight student minimum and 16 student maximum.
