Out of 13 current alumni turned NCAA Athletes in 2019-20, SAS boasts 11 former athletes who were part of at least one collegiate academic honor or 84.62%.

NCAA Conference Academic Honor Rolls

Southern Athletic Association
To qualify, student-athletes must have had a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.25 or higher for the term and have been a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.

The award is given annually to the male and female teams in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest cumulative grade-point-average.

2019-20 United States Military Corps/American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award
The award honors collegiate and high school volleyball teams that displayed excellence in the classroom during the school year by maintaining at least a 3.30 cumulative team grade-point average on a 4.0 scale or a 4.10 cumulative team GPA on a 5.0 scale.

American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) as a Team Academic Excellence Award recipient 
The award recognizes college baseball programs that earn at least a 3.0 team GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team
The award recognizes teams with a grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale)  
Jett Hampton '19 - Babson College
2019 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III All-Academic Team
To be eligible, teams must have maintained a 3.0 cumulative team GPA (not 2019-20 academic year, not 2020 semester) of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility must be at least a 3.1 on a 4.0 scale through the most recent semester/quarter.

National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) Honor Society
Comprised of college football players from all divisions of play who each maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college careers.   
Cole Baker '16 - Massachusetts Institute of Technology 
College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-American honors 
Teams were selected on the basis of their spring grade point average, and must have achieved a 3.0 GPA.
