Politz is a sophomore baseball pitcher on the NCAA DI baseball team at Yale University in New Haven, CT.
He was recently named as a Louisville Slugger Freshmen All-American Team
College Notes
He was the only Yale Bulldog to earn first team All-Ivy honors, was Ivy Rookie of the Week on March 4… Served as the team’s ace, appeared in 13 games, making 11 starts in his rookie season… Led all Eli’s with six wins, an ERA of 3.64 (8th best in Ivy league) and 76.2 innings pitched, also averaged 5.63 strikeouts per game… Had a conference record of 4-1… Pitched seven innings and had seven strikeouts, only allowing three hits against Harvard on April 16… Had a season high eight strikeouts against Navy on March 12.

Four-year letterman in baseball ... First Team All-Conference and MVP during his sophomore season, after recording a .368 batting average and 62 strikeouts in 56.2 innings on the mound... Had 65 K's in 59 innings and a 1.67 ERA, with a .324 batting average in his junior season... Three-year letterman in football... Played safety, kick returner and receiver at various times... Had 33 receptions for 545 yards and four TDs in his sophomore season... All-Conference First Team as a sophomore, junior and senior in baseball... Best Technician in Technical Theater at St. Andrew's... Graduated with Artist Distinction and Scholar Distinction.
