A Whole Child Education is one of the guiding principles at St. Andrew's. Students benefit from programs like Mindfulness, Social Emotional Learning, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging, and so many more!
St. Andrew's 2025 Chapel Theme asks us to reflect on what it means to encounter each other with an attitude of welcome, graciousness, and abundant hospitality.
As we gather for the opening of the school year and begin to establish new routines, make adjustments from sleepier summer schedules, and figure out how to get which car out of the driveway and when, we set ourselves up as families, students, faculty, and staff to welcome all the possibilities that might unfold here at St. Andrew’s.
This year, we are grounding ourselves in the anticipation of possibilities with our K-12 Chapel theme of “Greet Every Saint” which comes from Philippians 4:21 “Greet every saint in Christ Jesus.” These three little words will guide us through all the opportunities we’ll experience together as we learn and reflect on what it means to encounter each other (and every person we meet) with an attitude of welcome, graciousness, and abundant hospitality.
This adventure to greet everyone we meet (and ourselves!) purposefully will help ground us more fully in being joyful people- and we all know that joyful people are curious, resilient, and thoughtful servant leaders. What more could we ask to be in pursuit of here at a place that deeply values each and every student and member of our community?
As I enter my tenth year as Upper School Chaplain, I continue to be grateful and humbled by the work we do together to raise and care for the children entrusted to us. I am particularly thankful this year to have all of you greet our new Middle School Chaplain, the Rev. Lee Curtis. We are very much looking forward to working together to serve this community. Don’t be a stranger to either of us!
We want to get to know you and yours and hear about the ways we can support and encourage your Highlanders. We look forward to greeting you saints next week!
