KLRU Writer's Contest: The
Austin PBS KIDS Writers Contest promotes children’s literacy and art through hands-on, active learning. Children in the Austin PBS viewing area can write and illustrate original stories, then submit them to Austin PBS.
Where to find books in Austin?
St. Andrew’s Resources:
The Rollins Library will be open this summer on Wednesdays from 9:00 am-12:00 pm, beginning . You may check out or return books on Wednesdays. Please use the
library catalog to find books! Library books can also be returned to the large tan equipment container in front of the Lower School. You can drive in and drop off!
The Sora app has ebooks and audiobooks for checkout. Find our school (St. Andrew’s LS/MS Library) and sign in. (Mr. Alford has entered all students) You may check out ebooks or audiobooks for 2 weeks. It automatically checks in the ebook or audiobook at the end of the time period.
To add more resources, click on the circle at the top right (has three lines) of the page. Once there you can add the “Central Texas Digital Consortuim.” This is a great state resource for additional ebooks and audiobooks to read. You can also add your own local library! Or any library of which you are a patron.

The Austin area has many local libraries. All have reading lists created for Summer Reading, Summer Reading Programs, camps, and other special events. Every summer these libraries have fun activities, games, special events all to get children engaged. Here are some of the larger local libraries:
