All-State Choir Highlights SAS Vocalists

Making the All-State Choir is an accomplishment unto itself, but St. Andrew’s vocalists had some particularly noteworthy achievements this year. Not only was student Maria Tobias ‘21 a featured soloist in the All-State Choir concert in January, but “St. Andrew’s had the most All-Staters from a single private school or organization in the entire state, which is a huge deal,” remarked Cate Gasco, St. Andrew’s Upper School Choir Director.
Their next big event is preparing for the TPSMEA Region Solo and Ensemble Contest on February 16. The St. Andrew’s Select Choir will also be singing as invited guests in the Austin Chamber Music Ensemble’s Black Composers Concert - free and open to the public - on February 9 at St. Andrew’s Dell Fine Arts Center (click here for Black Composers Concert details)
