2019 St. Andrew's Day Celebration

In the annual celebration of our patron saint, the St. Andrew's community came together to honor beloved members who help make this community so special. Students, faculty, trustees, families and friends gathered in the gym for a beautiful service lead by Upper School Chaplain, Whitney Kirby, Lower and Middle School Chaplain, Ashley Brandon, with a sermon from Rev. Miles R. Brandon, II and music performed by the lower, middle and upper school choirs.
Head of School, Sean Murphy, then presented the following awards: Jeannine & John C. Miller Volunteer Award honoring Lydia Soldano, the Outstanding Alumni Award honoring Taylor Thompson '17, the Lucy Collins Nazro Faculty Service Award honoring Steven Garcia ‘02, St. Andrew's Teaching Awards honoring Annie Billups for the 31st Street Campus and Susan Kemner Reed for the Southwest Parkway Campus , and the Faculty & Staff Service Milestone Awards honoring K-12 Athletic Director Jeff McCrary, Rock Band teacher Ed Jarusinsky, Lower School Head Kama Bruce, and Assoc. Congratulations to all the award recipients. St. Andrew's wouldn't be what it is without you!
Although the weather didn’t allow for the traditional all school lunch on the Nazro Green, everyone enjoyed lunch beautifully prepared by Sage Dining before parting for the Thanksgiving break. Happy St. Andrew’s Day and Happy Thanksgiving to the entire St. Andrew’s family!
