In Memoriam: Kay Hart
Kay Hart, a member of the founding faculty and first Head of St. Andrew's Middle School, as well as grandmother to alum Eli Hart-Johnson '16, passed away on Sunday, August 28. A beloved teacher, mentor, and colleague, she served St. Andrew's with passion and dedication for 20 years.
The Kay Hart Service Award was created in her honor to recognize Middle School students who exemplified servant-leadership by dedicating themselves to many hours of volunteer service.
Kay retired from St. Andrew's in 2002 but her family continued to be a significant part of the life of St. Andrew's: Her daughter Julia Hart taught at the Middle School for many years and her son Jody Hart taught at the Lower and Upper Schools.
